Vulnerability is one of the more highly valued, authentic, mysterious and yet obvious characteristics that makes a human being human. Vulnerability, as opposed to degradation, is a characteristic necessary for human development and cannot be subjected to standard measures of evaluation. Vulnerability is that category of genuine human characteristic that presents itself as and is taken as weakness in the patriarchal paradigm. Therefore, for this project, vulnerability is the theme of women’s contemporary art, women’s artistic expression.
